Get Involved!
The greatest gift you can give a child is TIME. If you have some to give, there are plenty of ways to get involved here at King Street Center!
Become a Mentor
We are always in need of Mentors! We have three programs for you to get involved in:
Community Mentor: Adults ages 21+ are matched with a kindergarten through 12th grade student. At least one year commitment.
Peer Mentor: Ages 14-18 are matched with a kindergarten through 5th grade student to spend time with each week.
Book Buddy: Ages 16+ are matched with a kindergarten through 5th grade student to read and play educational games with each week. Commitment is for the duration of the school year (end of September-June) or for Summer Program (end of June - August).
SCHOOL YEAR: Every week, excluding some holidays/breaks, beginning end of September through June, 3:30-4:15pm
SUMMER: 8-weeks starting end of June from 8:45-9:30am
“The program and opportunities you create spanning all ages is deeply meaningful. You are modeling what a healthy caring community feels like. A sliver of hope in a complicated world.”
— KING STREET CENTER MENTOR
