Carol Boardman was voted in as the newest member of King Street Center’s Board of Directors at their April 2017 meeting. Executive Director Vicky Smith says, “Carol and her family have been part of the fabric at King Street Center for many years. We’ve loved having her children volunteer in our programs – her boys were a magnet every time they walked in the building. Carol and Scott have supported King Street for nearly 25 years – lending a hand with our first building campaign here at 87 King Street!”
Carol serves as Director of Leadership Giving in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Champlain College. Previously, Carol led the development efforts at Rice Memorial High School where she created and implemented the financial aid program called “Inspire a Life” and was the Capital Campaign’s Communication Leader. Carol holds a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Vermont and is the proud mother of four boys. “Volunteering my time to help others is the most meaningful way for me to give back to my community. I believe in the mission at the King Street Center and I am excited to become a part of this inspirational team of people.” Carol will serve on the Development Committee.
