Jonathan Seaver of South Burlington, Vermont joined the King Street Center Board of Directors in November 2021. Seaver, employed by People’s United Bank as a Vice President in its Commercial Lending group, has a long track record of volunteering with the organization prior to this appointment. Beginning with King Street Center as a reading tutor in 2018, Seaver then joined the Board of Directors’ Finance Committee in 2019 as an ad hoc member, helping to secure a PPP loan for the Center when the COVID-19 pandemic first began. Most recently, Seaver became a mentor, a role he will continue during his board tenure.

Shabnam Nolan, King Street Center Executive Director says, “Jonathan understands every aspect of our programming. He knows what our kids need, and how King Street Center can support them, because he has sat with our kids year after year as a volunteer to reinforce their academic and social and emotional growth. I know Jonathan will bring both his skills and passion to the table as the Board looks ahead to the next chapter of King Street Center, and we are thrilled he has taken on this new role within our community.

Seaver says, “I am joining the Board of Directors at King Street Center in an effort to give back to the community, which has given me so much throughout my life. The Center’s mission and work are instrumental to the young people of Burlington and I hope to help the organization as it continues to support the critical needs of kids in our city.  It is an honor to join the staff and my fellow Board members at King Street Center to ensure that the exceptional services, which have been provided to Burlington kids over the last 50 years, continue well into the future.”

Seaver is also involved in several other efforts across the Burlington community, including serving as a Committee Chair for the Vermont City Marathon, a member of the Risk Management Association Board, and on the House committee at Burlington Country Club.
