Dear King Street Center friends,
At a time when prevention of the spread of Coronavirus is of paramount importance, we are going to restrict access to the King Street Center building to enrolled participants, their caregivers, and staff only until further notice.
We are asking our amazing volunteers and community partners to take a break from their service in order to limit traffic and extended contact from outside our building. This includes all interns, classroom volunteers, tutors, on-site mentors, as well as specialists and program providers. Community-based mentors may continue volunteer service, but may not pick up children at King Street Center.
This will be a challenging time. You bring so much to our work and to the lives of King Street Center kids each day. I will re-evaluate on April 6 to determine the next course of action.
Any questions can certainly be directed to me, Dacia Ostlund, Gabriella Tufo Strouse, or Deena Murphy.
If you’d like to send an email, picture, or video to a child to keep in touch during this time, please do! Direct them to the following program directors:
Stacy Weinberger, Early Education: firstname.lastname@example.org
Carrie Jacques, Afterschool Excellence (K-5th): email@example.com
Joe Ruggles, Teen Program (Middle & High School): firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is with a heavy heart that we pull our “welcome mat” inside. Please stay well.
Vicky Smith, Executive Director
