King Street maintains a strong commitment to area colleges to provide experiential and professional learning opportunities for students interested in the fields of early childhood education, social work, psychology, human development, and elementary education. While our internships are unpaid, interns often receive college credit or use toward a class experience (upon agreement with educational institution.) Unpaid internships are also available to students or young professionals seeking to enhance and deepen their work experience. (Typically 6-15 hours per week.) Applicants must be a minimum of 17 years old.

Summer 2020:

Are you looking for a way to make meaningful impact in the community this summer? Do you want the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and hands-on experience? We are looking for dedicated, fun, enthusiastic learners to join our summer team as interns in our Toddler Classroom, Preschool Classroom, and in our summer camp for rising K-6th graders!

June 22nd-August 14th, 2020

Minimum of 12-15 hours per week for the 8-week program, between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. tbd with supervisor

Responsibilities: Engage with youth in activities, provide academic support, model and encourage healthy choices and behavior, help staff prepare and clean up after activities, and help with other necessary tasks as needed.
