Internships

** Thank you very much for your interest in King Street Center’s Internships. Our internships are currently full, please check back with us in January 2022 for further opportunities.**
King Street maintains a strong commitment to area colleges to provide experiential and professional learning opportunities for students interested in the fields of early childhood education, social work, psychology, human development, and elementary education. While our internships are unpaid, interns often receive college credit or use toward a class experience (upon agreement with educational institution.) Unpaid internships are also available to students or young professionals seeking to enhance and deepen their work experience. (Typically 6-15 hours per week.) Applicants must be a minimum of 17 years old.

King Street Center is not yet ready to commit to placing interns for Fall 2021. We are undergoing an important re-structuring of our volunteer/intern program to ensure that its design best serves our children and meets our mission.

One important goal will be that we aim to attract more BIPOC applicants who mirror the population of our youth.
